Togetherness Exhibition - Black Creative Trailblazers Showcase

We are excited to announce the open call for our Togetherness exhibition, presented in collaboration with HappeningInMCR. This exhibition will be hosted at Aviva Studios, Water Street, Manchester, M3 4JQ, as part of the Black Creative Trailblazers 2025 Showcase in celebration of Black History Month.

The theme, Togetherness, reflects this year’s showcase theme and invites artists to explore and interpret it in their own unique way. Submissions can be existing works or brand new pieces created for the exhibition.

Key dates:

• Deadline for submissions: Thursday 18th September, 23:00

• Artists notified: Saturday 20 September 2025 (via email – please check your spam folder)

• Artwork drop-off: Monday 29th September 2025, Aviva Studios, Manchester

• Exhibition open: Wednesday 1st – Sunday 5th October 2025

• Black Creative Trailblazers Showcase: Friday 3rd October 2025

Your artwork submission:

• You can submit up to two works of varying sizes

• Due to the nature of the exhibit space, you may need to have small fixings attached to the back of the work. More information will follow if accepted. 

• In the event we accept your artwork, you will have a week until drop off so you can wait until you know the outcome of your submission before buying, for example, a frame. 

• Please keep submitted work within a PG 15 rating.
